This project highlights the versatility of custom woodwork in challenging architectural footprints. We designed and installed a whitewashed shiplap ceiling and wall system that follows the dramatic pitch of the roof, creating a bright, airy feel in a compact attic bedroom. To maximize functionality, we built a custom L-shaped base that serves as both a sturdy bed frame and a deep-seated bench, finished with a rich, dark-stained wood top for a beautiful tonal contrast.
The true craftsmanship is found in the integrated storage solutions, featuring hand-built open cubbies that keep the floor clear while providing a clean, modern aesthetic. We also added a custom triangular recessed shelf and a matching window casing, ensuring that every element of the room feels intentional and cohesive. It’s a perfect example of how tailored woodwork can turn an awkward “bonus room” into a high-value, highly functional living space.
